| PUBLiCUS Founders Join KAF-sponsored Political Seminar Workshop | ||||

The Ateneo School of Government (ASoG), in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Asian Region), implemented a Strengthening the Accountability and Responsiveness of Political Parties in Asia. The program built on the capabilities of the participants in order to address problems within the organization as well as respond to the interests of the various public sectors. The program aimed at creating a cadre of political leaders that will make a difference not only in their political parties but in their respective countries as well. The seminar-workshop is an integral part of a whole two-year program of skills training, case writing and presentation to a team of experts. Cognizant of the pioneering efforts of PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. in the field of political management in the Philippines and the Asian region, ASoG invited its founders to be part of the team of experts for the program. Founders Malou Tiquia and Lilibet Amatong combined theory and practice in handling the modules on Effective Communication in Political Parties (PDF) ; Consensus Building and Political Negotiation (PDF) and Mediation Using Communication (PDF). Divided into two groups, the participants of the program were representatives of the political parties from Malaysia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Pakistan, Myanmar, South Korea and Thailand. A total of 60 participants were chosen to take part in the program. The first group’s training was done in March 15-17, 2010 and the last group was completed on March 23-25, 2010. The program is undergoing a mentoring phase prelude to the presentation of the participants of their case studies in September 2010.#
