PUBLiCUS attends IABC Conference

PUBLICUS recently attended the IABC AsPac Conference at the Hyatt Hotel in Manila and the Boracay Regency Hotel on March 3-5, 2008.

PUBLiCUS Executive Director Levie Cequena joined communication professionals from eight Asia Pacific chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators and discussed the latest communication programs and strategies that improve client services.
Cequena said the conference was a good venue to share our own creative ideas, and how PUBLiCUS does business with communicators worldwide.

“It was also a good event to gain new friends and catch up with old friends in the business”, she added.

IABC world chair Todd Hattori and IABC India chair Bish Mukherjee were among the principal speakers. The other conference speakers include Sen. Richard Gordon, German Ambassador Christian-Ludwig Webber-Lortsch, , Philip Ella Juico of the La Salle School, TV host and talent manager Boy Abunda, and Owen Cammayo of IBM Philippines.

IABC Philippines officers Bong Osorio of ABS-CBN, Rey Anthony David Jr. of Great Wall Advertising, Roni Tapia-Merk or Merk Communications, Jeric Sevilla of Manila Water also shared their insights.
