MANILA – Political consultancy firm PUBLiCUS Asia, Inc. will be releasing later this week the results of an independent non-commissioned survey which seeks to gauge public opinion on the government’s efforts to fight COVID-19 in Metro Manila – the Philippine epicenter of the global pandemic.
The NCR COVID-19 Online Panel Survey, conducted by PUBLiCUS’ in-house strategic research arm, VOX Opinion Research, in partnership with Singapore based Lightspeed Research, will gauge (1) approval rating on the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in NCR; (2) approval rating of key national and local leaders in responding to the pandemic; (3) support for existing and future measures in combating the pandemic and providing aid to constituents in need; and (4) availability of household basic necessities.
The results of the survey will provide government officials and policy-makers with actionable information to create data-based strategies to respond to the COVID19 pandemic.
More specifically, the survey questions were formulated to (1) identify and address government service bottlenecks in fighting against COVID-19; (2) refine and improve distribution of aid to the public and protection of frontliners; (3) further calibrate plans should the ECQ continue beyond April 15; (4) strengthen relationships with constituents; and (5) develop measures to assist the business sector.
The Online Panel Survey was conducted from April 2-6, 2020 in NCR with a weighted sample of 1,000 respondents.
Watch out for the survey’s live virtual presser on April 8, Wednesday at 11AM. For more updates, stay tuned to PUBLiCUS Facebook Page.
