Source of news

94% of Balance Luzon voters get news about government leaders, politics, current events from TV, 37% from radio, 18% form social media, and an equal percentage of 13% get news from newspapers or tabloid, narration of a relative, and narration of a friend/acquaintance. 70% of voters watch news on TV 4 or more times a day in one week; 11% listen to the radio for news 4 or more times a day in a week; only 2% said they read news from newspapers 4 or more times a day in a week.

Newspapers of choice

Among those who read newspapers, 25% read the Philippine Daily Inquirer, 18% read Manila Bulletin, 14% read Bulgar, 10% read Abante, and the same percentage reads Philippine Star.

Internet as source of news

News consumption from the Internet among voters is at 11% saying they read news on the internet 4 or more times a day in a week. Facebook and Twitter as a source of news has gained traction among voters in Balance Luzon as they consider it important.
