When asked about the biggest infrastructure projects in the National Capital Region, 87% say that they are glad about the development of the infrastructures in the said region. In addition, 56% say that foreign loans are good in order to fund the big infrastructure projects being built in the country. On the contrary, 53% say that the loans for the Build, Build, Build program can weaken the economy and might lead to a debt crisis similar to the experience of the country during the time of President Marcos.

Airport Projects of the Government

Voters in the National Capital Region were also asked regarding their opinion on the airport projects being pursued by the government. 85% say that they are glad about the development of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) because of the plan to make it a fully integrated premier airway. 82% think that it is only right that the airports being constructed by the government should be world-class in order to encourage more tourists to come here and for trade to flourish.

The voters’ opinions on the airport projects of the nearby provinces were also asked. 77% say that it is good to have another international airport in Bulacan for the benefit of the travelers from Northern Luzon. Meanwhile, 74% believe it is good to have another international airport in Cavite for the benefit of the travelers from Southern Luzon. Finally, 71% say that the Clark International Airport should be the premier airport of the country.
