Brands they know, brands they patronize or use, brands that have become endearing to them
In this poll respondents were shown a list of popular Philippine brands of restaurants, food and beverage, products, services, etc., and were asked to identify brands they know, brands they patronize or use, and to choose 3 brands in each category (restaurant, food and beverage, health and personal care, telecommunications services, other services) they use that have become endearing to them or their family.
Jollibee is selected as the most endearing brand of the National Capital Region voters, getting 50% of the votes. Mang Inasal, a subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation, and popular lechon manok chain Andok’s Lechon Manok are far behind with 16% and 11% of the votes, respectively.
Among the listed food and beverage brands, Datu Puti and Century Tuna are found the most endearing, getting 19% apiece. Both brands are the top 2 frequently patronized brand as well, with Purefoods as the 3rd.
For health and personal care, Mercury Drug registered the highest endearment. For the telecommunications industry, Globe Telecom has the strongest following with 42% of the votes while Smart Communications is close behind with 38%. For other services, media outfits ABS-CBN (49%) and GMA-7 (30%) are most valued by National Capital Region voters.
