Executive Summary – Findings of PAHAYAG VisMin Poll

PREDISPOSITION FOR 2022 ELECTIONS

Predisposition for President

Using the Likert scale, 38.5% of Visayan respondents said they were likely to vote Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares for President among 21 potential candidates in the 2022 elections. Following Poe were Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte (35.4%), Senator Manny Pacquiao (34%), Manila Mayor Francis “Isko Moreno” Domagoso (31.6%), and Senator Bong Go (28.6%).

Meanwhile, an overwhelming majority of Mindanaoan respondents (64.9%) said they would likely vote for Sara Duterte if she ran for President in 2022. She was followed by Manny Pacquiao (34.8%), Grace Poe (32.9%), Bong Go (29.7%), and Domagoso (23.2%).

When respondents were asked to choose only one name, 35.1% of respondents said they would vote Sara Duterte for President in 2022. Poe (11%) and Domagoso (7.8%) came in a distant second and third place, respectively, followed by Pacquiao (5.5%), House Speaker Alan Cayetano (4.6%), and Go (4.5%).

The majority of respondents said their choice for Vice President would be strongly linked to their choice for President.

Predisposition for Vice President

Using the Likert scale, 35.5% of Visayan respondents said they would likely vote for President Rodrigo Duterte as Vice President in the 2022 elections, followed by Poe (34.5%), Domagoso (32.7%), Pacquiao (30.7%), and Go (27.9%).

Meanwhile, 50.7% of Mindanaoans would vote Sara Duterte for Vice President in 2022, followed by President Rodrigo Duterte (50.5%), Pacquiao (29.3%), Congressman Paolo Duterte 28.3%), Poe (27.4%), Go (25.2%), and Domagoso (24.7%).

When respondents were asked to choose only one name, President Rodrigo and Sara Duterte were in a virtual deadheat with 11.6% and 11.5% of the vote each. Domagoso came in next with 9.85%, followed by Poe (9.05%), Alan Cayetano (8.85%), and Pacquiao (7.25%).
